Most of my stock has arrived, I am knee deep in packaging and I look forward to releasing these on Friday hopefully, since Christmas edges ever closer, this release around – the goodies will be available while I show samples! I will have three new sets but be warned quantities are small, so if you like the look of things so far do stay tuned to make sure you don’t miss out!
My friends tell me I absolutely suck at social media and they are right. I am not geared to perform, this much is true. I was the sort of kid that volunteered to paint scenery for the school play, so I didn’t have to act – total behind the scenes person. I will offer to take the photo so I don’t have to be in the picture.
Currently though, I am a veritable blur behind the scenes. I have 3 new stamp sets landing this week, and other product typey things heading my way this week also. Not to mention I started a new day job and I’m still fitting all of it around ferrying 4 people in three different directions, twice a day, 5 days a week.
Want to see a peek of what I’ve been doing? This a peek of one of the sets releasing this week as soon as the box lands. This release will open as soon as I have all of the stock packaged. Reason for that is that its November already and we all have a ton to get through before the Big guy in red gets here!
This set will come with free cut files because I am so wanting to use one of the images for place cards at my Christmas table this year. You might well already have your Christmas cards underway, you might even have decided that you don’t need any more Christmas supplies, but it’s been a while since you saw a WMS Christmas so pop back over the next few days, see what you’ve been missing!

I wouldn’t call myself a collector, but I do like to pick up a vintage book now and again. Sometimes it’s the appeal of a beautiful binding, sometimes I actually read them. Now and again though, I find a treasure – like this Victorian Witch engraving.
The book she lives in came to me in a state of disarray, the binding is bust and there are a lot of loose pages. It’s not a valuable book, but I wanted to save some of the beautiful engravings so I scanned some of them, and tidied them up in photoshop. This lady, I had made into a stamp, back when I had Waltzingmouse Stamps. I used that stamp to make this card. I also made her into a print, which is still in my Etsy store, here.
I have a new moons stencil in the store and was making a few card samples for that, when it struck me that it would have made the perfect backdrop for my Vintage Witch stamp.

Once the stamping was dry, I coloured her with a few copics, I think she turned out perfect. The sentiment on the card is stencilled, with black embossing paste, the sentiment stencil is part of this stencil set. I like the texture on an otherwise flat, one layer card. It’s actually great to have time to play around with the existing supplies, I have a ton of stuff from my WMS days, that I probably didn’t explore fully at the time. What have you got in your stash that you haven’t really maxed out yet? I’d love to know.

Ta for popping in!
Chosen by random number generator – Kelly Schirmer!

I have new Halloween stamps in store – the release went live yesterday – the set is called Haunted Halloween and I thought the ornate circular stamp looked a bit like a buckle. Ideal for a buckle on a witches hat. I had some lovely burnt orange velvet ribbon and went for it. Quite chuffed with how it turned out. I made a free template for the card, complete with instructions. Here’s the inside:

I just winged it when I made this one, but I have prepared a template and instructions if you would like to make one. You can get it by clicking here.
If you would like svg files, please let me know by leaving a comment here.

At 8.00PM Uk time the new goodies will be live in store!
Haunted Halloween is a large stamp set 6 x 8 inches – Antique print block inspired but redrawn for stampers with Halloween hidden throughout the vines. Opportunities for stamping in plain colours or picking out details in multi colour – Have fun!
Perfect for Halloween or lovers of dark academia. This set features tag designs that work for a variety of projects, make mini book marks with the long tag, make gift tags and even Halloween baubles with the circular tags. The diamond motif makes a great background pattern and also works with Spellbinders diamond dies.
The large circle works with a Spellbinders circle, but the stamp itself is 2 and 5/8 in diameter – so any die, or indeed punch of 2.75 inches diameter will suit this.
The diamond shapes work with Spellbinders diamond dies and the rectangle is easily cut with a straight edge, however it also fits a spellbinders rectangle die (2 and 5/8 by 5 and 1/2) I have in my collection and because it’s narrower, I was able to push it along the die and cut it a second time to get a perfect cut out.
High Quality photopolymer stamp set approximately 6 inches by 8 inches. The set contains 25 stamps in total. The tiniest bat is 3/8 of an inch wide by just over an 1/8th of an inch tall. The long tag stamp produces an image just under 5.5 inches long by just under an inch and a half wide. The circle stamp is 2 and 5/8 in diameter. Photopolymer stamp set designed by me and then made in USA.

This set comes with free cut files, they will be issued via email after your purchase goes through the store. There are basic cut files for all stamps and a bonus set of cut files with tag designs and bats shapes. I’ll be blogging the tags next.

Here is a small gallery of cards made with the set for your inspiration!

Create Halloween cards with a spooky forest flavour using this handy stencil. This stencil features a spooky tree with removable tree-face mask. Now – thing to know – the tree-face mask is a fun piece of stencil that comes in the exact shape of the tree in the stencil. It’s carries the face detail – so you can add a face to your stencilled tree or not, that’s the purpose of this piece. The stencil material I use is thin and bendy, I use it because I can get more detail – thicker stencil material would not cut so smoothly. A bonus function is that you can use this piece as a tree mask, but the branches will move unless you use stencil adhesive.
This stencil also features a graveyard silhouette at the bottom edge and a wavy line – think landscape hillock along the top edge, helpful little scene builder additions.
This stencil is is 5.25 by just under 8 inches in size and are made from Mylar plastic. Our stencils are semi opaque and you can see through them to position them exactly where you want. The are easily cleaned with soapy water and are perfect for creating backgrounds and focal points.
Here’s a few things I made with the stencil – look at his wee face!!

Thanks for popping in folks, I have a load more to share so call back over the next few days for more samples!

This post continues my samples for my upcoming stamp release – The new stamp set – Haunted goes live on my store tomorrow, with new stencils. Full details in this post.
I was in a design group on FB during the week, looking for feedback on some artwork I had produced and somebody said that my stuff was ‘nostalgic’ and they couldn’t have been more correct. Time and again I find myself looking back to the good things from my childhood, one of which was the brown paper bag.
Brown paper bags held sweeties when I was wee, you bought them in 2 ounces or a quarter depending on how much pocket money you had left. Typically for me, it was cola cubes or fizzy pear drops, tiny little boiled sweets with serious zing. Back then my fangs knew no fear and I was reasonably assured that my evening would be uninterrupted, books and cola cubes were my recipe for happiness. I was a very happy child.
So my treat bag of choice, this Halloween will be the simplest of them all, a very basic brown paper baggie. Mine come from the wholesaler in bunches of 100 for a couple of pounds. Onto my baggie I will brush some orange ink, or green, and then I will stencil a graveyard silhouette. The scene is set, I can now add whatever I want into my baggie, twist the top and it’s dressed up for Halloween.

The stencil is the Spooky tree stencil, this is a seriously versatile stencil. Tree guy is in the centre, but the bottom of the stencil is cut in this graveyard silhouette giving you the ability to do a little scene setting for the tree. The top of the stencil is also shaped, as a little hilly silhouette, perfect for grounding spooky tree, if you wish, I love the idea of him kind of slithering about all over the place on his tentacle style roots.

The stamp set, Haunted, coming tomorrow provides lots of opportunities for tags, I’ve used the most obvious one here, the big circle. I’ve just stamped it simply, onto kraft card and cut it out with a circle die – I used a Spellbinders circle, but the stamp itself is 2 and 5/8 in diameter – so any die, or indeed punch of 2.75 inches diameter will suit this.
On my green baggie, I made little wax-seal-style discs of lightweight air dry clay. I rolled the air dry clay into small balls and flattened it out with an acrylic block. I made a circular indentation in the flattened ball, with an upturned bottle cap and then I lightly impressed the sentiment into the centre.Once dry you can brusk ink onto these things to colour them up.
I used the stamp sentiment ‘Treats, or trick?’ because you can’t see inside, and I might have stuffed that bag with old socks or something other than sweeties..

Two diminutive bookmarks this afternoon to continue my samples for my upcoming new stamps release at the store on Wednesday night, next. Both bookmarks are made with the same stamp. To me, nothing says Hallowe’en like black on black and I’ve been waiting to get my hands on the actual stamps to do my favourite thing, heat embossing. The stamp used is a long label/tag stamp from the new set, Haunted – the stamp produces an image just under 5.5 inches long by just under an inch and a half wide.
Serendipitously, it fits lengthwise into a standard spellbinders rectangle die (2 and 5/8 by 5 and 1/2) I have in my collection and because it’s narrower, I was able to push it along the die and cut it again to get a perfect cut out.
There’s a ton of detail in the stamp so I kept the black bookmark ultra simple, I stamped the label image, and clear embossed it, then I popped in the ‘Greetings at Hallowe’en’ sentiment and clear embossed that also. Punched a little hole at one end and threaded through some black ribbon, super simple party favour idea. I’m using it as a bookmark, but this will also make a great treat bag tag. I love the dark academia feel of this bookmark, it’s detailed and tactile, and subtly spooky.

This stamp is also great for folks who like to colour as well, here’s one version I did with it. I first stamped the image in black versafine ink, because it’s great for detail. I immediately clear embossed it, I love the texture embossing gives and it also makes it easier to colour, by keeping the black pristine.
This stamp and indeed the rest of the set are based on antique decorative printing blocks that I have redrawn, rearranged, and added Halloween details to – there are pumpkins, skulls, stars and a tiny hanging bat hidden in the design, colouring these things really makes the design pop. I used copic markers, which I cannot believe are mostly still good after 7 years in storage!
The centre panel of this label stamp is blank, so you can really add whatever you want in there, I added the longest greeting from the set, but some of the words from the Old books stamp set would work particularly well here also, words such as ‘Wisdom’ and ‘Lore’. Add whatever colours you want to match your party theme, I went with lilac. I love that the design is spooky but not gory, I’m more of a cottage core Halloweener myself, what’s your preferred vibe?

The upcoming set is a large set 8 x 6 packed with 25 stamps. This is the largest stamp in the set, which is designed to cover your needs from party invite, to gift giving, come back over the next few days for more samples before the release goes live on Wednesday evening at 8pm UK time. Ta for popping in!
